Here are some of my favorite links:
Text Book- This is the link for our McGraw-Hill online text book. The student code for my class is
2YDR-V4G9-LTRO (Last digit is 'oh' not 'zero')
Khan Academy- I use the World of Math lessons for all my classes. However, there are lessons in other subjects as well. The site is designed to be self-paced and promotes learner independence through the use of the "hints" and embedded video tutorials.
I have created accounts on this website for all my students. I have tried to use this standard formula for their
log-ins:
username- full first and last name: jasoncowles (if their name was not unique, I added a "6c" at the end.)
password- conyers9_ _ (first and last initial) conyers9jc
MobyMax- This is one of the support sites that our school has a license for.
Cool Math- This site has a lot of math and logic games.
Space Picture of the Day- I check this out almost everyday, sometimes the pictures are awesome, sometimes they're just OK.
Satellite Flybys- What's the 3rd brightest object in the sky (1. Sun, 2. moon)??? It's the ISS (International Space Station), click on this link to see when it will fly overhead, as well as other satellites.
